2011/12 Ice Rink Update and Hours
This year, due to repairs on one of the ice rinks, we will only have one rink open for community
members to use for skating and/or hockey. Please note, the rink hours are only effective based on the weather
and condition of the rinks.
If you or your family members are interested in using the rink, please ensure you have a community
membership and you have received your skate tags. These are mandatory as directed
by the City of Edmonton. The rink is free to community league members. If you require a
membership and skate tags, please contact Jamie Peeling at jamiepeeling@shaw.ca.
The hours are:
Mondays: Closed
Tuesday – Friday: 5 pm – 7 pm is open skate 7 pm – 9 pm is shinny
Saturday – Sunday: 2 pm – 5 pm is open skate 5 pm – 8 pm is shinny
Drop in fee for skating is $2.00/person each time.
*Note:* The rink will close if the temperature is -20C with or without wind chill.
The rink will also close if the temperature warms to thee point that makes the condition of the ice unsafe to skate.
You require a valid Community League membership and skate tags.
*Safety: *Skaters under 18 are required to wear proper helmets while using our rink. Under 18 shinny players require proper hockey helmets with proper face shields or cages.
Anyone not playing safely or following the directions of the rink attendant will be asked to leave and not return.
